Japanese knitting style
Many people already know about Japanese craft books, if you don't this is for you! I know about these books because my neighbor is Japanese and she has thousand of books .I was amazed by the aesthetic, the simplicity, and the beauty of the photos and the items in it. When I was in Japan I spend hours in book shops, grabbing everything I can, in Japan they have second hand book shops it called "Book Off" you can find these books in 1-5 dollars. I really bought a lot. But now I'm not in Japan , these books can be expensive outside of Japan and I really have a limit space here.I found on Picasa a group of people that share their books on line. mmm...I know it's not morally right (it's like downloading music) but you can look at it as an on line library, you can not find the books through the search engine so I'm giving you a link and you can get into other people account from the right list. You can just go on and on to many people's libraries. It never ends!
If you want you can buy these books probably on Amazon and eBay
Here is an etsy shop that sells them- Pomadour
and the links to Picasa : here , here and here
enjoy!

valenkis
My boyfriend's mom has arrived , it's kind of weird but I'm getting used to it...
she brought my presents but from all of what she brought I fell in love with these valenkis boots. it is so cute and pretty!! It's a traditional Russian boots for the cold Russian winter , my boyfriend said that the real valenkis are not that pretty and it's never snowy here in Israel anyway .. so she brought me a tiny cute version of it.

Getting ready for Russia month
My boyfriend came from Russia to Israel 11 years ago by him self and all his family still lives in Russia. Next month after 6 years we are together his mother is coming for a two weeks visit. I'm happy and scared , I never met his mother and I don't know what to expect . I'm happy for him and I am glad to finally meet her but we can not talk because she don't know any word in Hebrew or English and my Russian is very very basic .
To celebrate this event I'm going to spread some Russian spirit here
enjoy!

Buttons
I love them in any shapes and sizes I love them old or new (but I prefer old)
I have so many of them especially whites and blacks but it's the colorfuls that I love the most!
most of my collection I inherited so I can't say I worked hard for this collection but every time I see a lonely button that fall from a shirt or a dress I pick it up from the street and put it in my growing collection. I have so many so here are some of them .
childhood memories from my grandmother's house
I use to sleep on her pillows which had buttons like these
most of the collection is vintage
some are so old you can see sewing threads and rust on them

My first felt inspiration (and post)
I thought a lot of what's going to be my first post and I decided to go back to the start when I first fall in love with felt. It was a few years a go, I made a research about textile artists and I interviewed two Israeli fiber artists Anat Gelbhard & Gil Leitersdorf that make beautiful bags and bowls in a unique 3D technique. I don't know if they still work together because all I found is gil's site , but you can also look at anat's site she makes really inspiring jewelry and she is a brilliant artist .
Thank you for inspiring me!!
